EIZO joins the Responsible Business Alliance
As the next logical step in its decades of engagement with CSR activities (Corporate Social Responsibility), EIZO has become a partner member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA). EIZO supports the visions and goals of the RBA for a global electronics industry with sustainable values for employees, the environment and the business.
EIZO’s corporate philosophy is as follows: “In striving for image reproductions with highly advanced technologies, we enrich the personal and professional lives of many people.” Along with the image reproduction solutions we develop, our code of conduct for social, ethical and ecological responsibility is of key importance to EIZO. It encompasses our concern for the environment, as well as our commitment to human rights and working conditions that ensure the health and safety of employees. EIZO joined the RBA to further develop its CSR activities as a globally active company with even greater perspectives. In doing so, EIZO is dedicating itself to gradually orienting its business activities to the stipulations of the RBA in order to support direct suppliers and encourage them to do the same.
EIZO among the first suppliers of ENERGY STAR 8-certified screens
On 28 January 2020 EIZO became one of the first companies to gain ENERGY STAR 8.0 registration for 13 screens currently available in the FlexScan series.
13 current FlexScan screens are among the first products to satisfy ENERGY STAR 8.0’s updated stipulations. ENERGY STAR is one of the world’s leading eco-labels for PCs and monitors. It has been issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the US since 1992. EIZO products have been registered with ENERGY STAR since then, which means that they fulfil the most stringent requirements. The criteria for maximum power consumption have become stricter for the new Version 8.0 and require an up to 20% lower power consumption than previously, depending on the category.
