EIZO today announces the new ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 HDR reference monitor.

With a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, a maximum contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and a resolution of 4,096 x 2,160 pixels (DCI-4K), the ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 retains the established display characteristics and extreme precision of its predecessors.

In addition, there are numerous new features and functions that make the ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 the ultimate reference monitor for final mastering and color grading as well as live production of HLG or PG-HDR content in the film and broadcast industry.

The ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 supports the SMPTE ST 2110 standard, allowing the monitor to be seamlessly integrated into IP-based production environments.

On the other hand, the HDMI interface has also undergone a significant upgrade: The PROMINENCE CG1 is the first ColorEdge monitor to support the Fixed Rate Link (FRL) technology of the latest HDMI specification. This makes it possible, for example, to transmit uncompressed 12-bit 4K film data via HDMI.

Thanks to the perfect interaction of the ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1's integrated calibration sensor with the ColorNavigator color management software, settings, regular quality control and recalibration can be carried out quickly, easily and loss-free (directly in the monitor's LUT) by the users themselves or even automated.

This makes it easy to set up and calibrate multiple color management settings for different projects in parallel without any additional tools. And regular recalibration ensures that the monitor's image display remains absolutely precise at all times, allowing users to concentrate fully on the creative process.

EIZO will showcase the ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 for the first time at the 2024 NAB Show in Las Vegas from April 14-17. There, in the South Hall Lower, booth SL8105, you can see for yourself the impressive performance of EIZO's new reference monitor for HDR content.
